Prompt: On this day, we were encouraged to write a triolet which is an eight-line poem with repeating lines and a tight rhyme scheme.


Riddles, Rhymes and Reason


We beg to gain answers

To questions which haunt us

Rising from the hands of a necromancer

Questions haunt us, like cancer

They grow in our minds, yet answers vanish like camphor

Who are we? Where do we come from?

What is our purpose? To whom do we answer?

Theories devised, clocks chime, riddles remain unanswered...

And it's not even a boring ab-ab it still transforms through the poem from answers to cancer to camphor
