The force behind action,
The drive to reach a goal,
Is fuelled by the same fuel,
The desire to strike gold.
The end product, not the process
takes precedent,
The Incentive, the bribe, prudent.
The shiny trophy, the laminated degree,
The roar of the crowd, being guilt-free.
Reinforcements and punishments,
Are wax to a candle,
Light it up and it shines
like it's supposed to,
Though one minute it will cease to be,
At least it reached its destiny...
